This is a genuine vintage "The Box by Ciracco" aluminum miner's lunch pail. It was made in LaGrange, Illinois, USA, most likely in the 1960s. Heavy gauge riveted aluminum construction with a distinctive dome top, faceted octagonal end panels with dome rivets, original metal carry handle, two front latch closures, ornate hinges on the reverse, and a wire thermos holder inside the lid. Brand stamp visible inside "The Box by Ciracco, LaGrange Illinois 60525, Made in the USA."
Condition: Used, Good for age. Shows surface scratches and some patina (metal discoloration) consistent with decades of use. Sticker residue on interior floor. Both latches and hinges function properly. No thermos included. No major dents. Photos show all angles, interior, thermos wire, brand stamp, latch and hinge detail, and all wear areas.
